Her face looks young though the war paint she's wearing does make her look a little older which is why I identified her as a teen instead of mentioning a defined age. However, war paint during that time was worn like a fashion item and was a reflection on not only the reputation but also the standing of the person wearing it and also their families due to others being judgemental.

On another note have you watched the final episode of Doupo Cangqing? It was very well done, and of course some changes but I loved it

I watched it but I was disappointed. I know it was the final episode of the special and it was supposed to wrap things up but his so called unveiling of his new hidden skill wasn't good and he had to be saved by the snake. The conflict within Yunyun was nice to see finally settle as she said goodbye to him.

I loved the part where one of the elders was killed even though the novel didnt mention it, and more than likely everyone from the Yun Lan sect that went after him also died, again wasnt in the novel, but I loved that part lol and yes it was good that the reconciled, until he comes back lol
But yeah his skill was kinda lackluster, but I took it as he was up against a Dou Wang, the Buddha's Fury Lotus spoiled all of us lol

It felt like his skill only half worked because the fire didnt follow his attack as he charged the guy who baited him which leaves me thinking that it would have worked if he had perfected the skill. Not to mention he took to long charging it which would have left him vulnerable if the monsters weren't stampeding through the area.
Was the next special covered in the novel? if so did it start from before his student attacked him or just when Xiao Yan was given the ring?

The next special preview only showed when Xiao Yan was crying after being bullied by the other Xiao family and Yao Lao appearsMy guess is it will be expanding on how he was taught by Yao Lao to become stronger or it might be non canonically as well, kind of like Hai Bodong's side story, the studio is being tight lip

I just checked, it is only 3 episodes, with that in mind, I guess it is a rehash of when Yao Lao meets him and trains him to be stronger, probably to serve as a recap, since season one's animation was very very old and bad lol

I didnt mind the animation myself but I know for others it would be bad going back to season 1 with whats currently available to watch.

Due to learning that information it made me look at the 3 year agreement a little differently compared to how I looked at it previously. I even felt a little sorry for Nalan Yanran being put in that situation but her arrogance and application of pressure of her status made that short lived.

hard to say because only season 1,2,3 were 12 episodes whereas season 4 was 24 episodes and as you know we have a lot more content to come. It wouldnt surprise me if we dont have another 24 episodes for the next season to cover his travel through the dessert to get to the new school plus what happens at the school.

I havent looked at feng qi yet and in regards to whats recently been released I havent looked at Fanren but saw the previous season. I'm watching a few at the moment but they dont capture my interest as much as btth did.

for me its more of a whats different kind of situation with watching this show as I didnt read the novel version. I've already noticed slight differences in what has happened compared to what was shown in the manga version. The mite'ers shadow group gave yun lan sect the run around while Xiao Yan was able to flee safely. Meeting a giant dog leading to a bone graveyard to get access to the special skill we saw in use in todays episode instead of it being picked up in the market place.

Yeah and one of the elders dying from the python's attack and Hai Bodong killing all the Yun Lan pursuers, and probably the other 2 elders the changes are subtle and works well compared with Swallowed Star where the changes are massive

I'm glad i never read swallowed star as I wouldnt be happy with those changes either. Have you seen btoom? I read that one a while ago and tbh after reading the manga I realized why they never bothered with a second season.

Be glad you didnt read Swallowed Star, the author writes like an 8 year old lol which is why it was so easily translated, the changes are not to bad It is just my pet peeve that they are dragging the Xu Xun stuff for so long lol

yea it is the one with the fat guy, its been a while since i watched it but if I had to guess.... She tasered him in his nuts lol. As for the story, it was to repetitive which is why we never got a second season of it, it was just more characters on the island blowing each other up.

for me, its btth and soul land tied in first with swallowed star and snow eagle lord coming up in second. Leaving martial universe in third but there are a lot of other good ones out there too even if I havent listed them.

I haven't technically watched this myself yet so can't accurately comment to the episode's subs. But that being said, there's allot of anime/donghua (especially true of the less popular ones) which get their "subbed translations" from auto-translator programs. So, it's very possible and/or likely that a "human" actually didn't have any part of doing these actual translations.

izfanmade aka myanime live translates the work without the use of auto translations from what I have seen as I have watched their work for a while now and they dont make the mistakes that most auto translators do.
